Fund
a Child
While
Mother Africa is working hard to integrate local communities into
eco-tourism initiatives so they receive equal benefit from tourism
activities, there is still a need for external financial funding
in the interim.

We
encourage well wishers and those seeking to make a difference
to contribute with their time as well as their money, and join
one of our volunteer projects. This will have a much farther reaching
and long term effect than donating money. However if you are only
able to contribute financially we appreciate anything you may
be able to provide.
At
Mother Africa we currently support White Water primary school,
a Government run facility based in the Matobo Hills region of
Zimbabwe. The pupils come from the poorest families and they,
as well as the school infrastructure, would benefit greatly from
any additional funding. As well as White Water School we also
support the children from Ethandweni Home for AIDS Orphans. This
is a privately run facility that offers support, schooling and
a warm family environment for its 36 orphans. Due to the economic climate present in Zimbabwe currently, Ethandweni
is in desperate need of additional funding to keep going.

We
have calculated it costs about US$100 per child per month. This
amount includes food, schooling, school stationary, transport
etc. and is for daily living expenses only. Alternatively if you
would prefer to donate goods as opposed to cash, for example sporting
equipment, medical supplies etc. this would be most welcome.
