Mains’l Mission Trip to Zimbabwe
WILD AT HEART
For 14 remarkable years, the Mains’l crew from the U.S. has been making waves in Zimbabwe,
transforming lives and supporting conservation efforts with unwavering dedication. Their
groundbreaking projects have left an indelible mark on our communities and wildlife, showcasing
the power of partnership and compassion. Here are some highlights of the work that they did in
their last mission trip:
At Ethandweni Children’s Home, the Mains’l crew shared laughter, expertise, and adventure with the
kids and staff. From volleyball matches to hikes and field trips, they sparked joy and curiosity in the
children. Their generous donations of clothing, first aid kits, and medication warmed hearts and
demonstrated their commitment to giving back.
The team rolled up their sleeves at Natisa Health Centre, tackling meaningful projects with
enthusiasm and dedication. They built a new kitchen, installed a water tank, and dug a 400-meter
water pipeline – a testament to their tireless work ethic and compassion. After a day of hard work,
the team celebrated with a fun-filled day of soccer, volleyball, and laughter. The clinic also set up a
table to offer free health check-ups, serving the community with care and kindness.
The Mains’l team supported Dete’s Got Talent, a conservation-themed talent show that brought the
community together in a vibrant celebration of creativity. The event was a huge success, showcasing
the community’s talents and enthusiasm.
Volunteerism at its best: With the Mains’l team
In their final project, the team built a lion boma for a local homestead, protecting their cattle and
promoting harmony between humans and wildlife. This project was a testament to their
commitment to conservation and community development.
The Mains’l crew’s 14th mission trip was life changing. Their unwavering commitment to giving back
is truly amazing, and we celebrate the partnership and impact they have made.
